The kendra is known for training in kathak, folk dance and fusion dance forms.Trimurti kala kendra was founded in 1998 in Jabalpur madhya pradesh by the visionary artist and teacher Divya Choubey. With a vision to give back to the society what she has learnt from her teachers, she started this kendra.Now have extented branch at bangalore from 2009. She is a well known in the field of kathak. She studied kathak for nearly fifteen years under the strict descipline and guidance of the distinguished guru Mrs Tripti Dasgupta and “Taal Mani “Pt.Karodi Lal Bhatt. Mrs. Divya Choubey received her degree in kathak, from the renowned Pracheen Kala Kendra Chandigrah University. She has given numerous performances throughout india and has appeared in many prominent kathak productions, including those on Doordarshan Television. “Dasmahavidhya , Gayatri Vandana and other vandana are her genre. She has raised many issues of social and national interest on various platforms.She has received many awards, such as those given by former Cheif Minister of Madhya Pradesh Shri Digvijay Singh, “Sai Shree “award by Sai Das Ji Maharaj in Prayag Sammelan, “Nartya Shri “award. “Kalit Bala” award by Swami Shankaracharya Ji , awarded “Sarvashresh Kalakar” by Milan ,awarded “Bharat Bharti “by Mahakaushal Sahitya and Sanskrit Parishad,awared by Swami Nityanand Saraswati at Munger (bihar) on International Yoga Meet, awarded by Rotery International 3260 on district conference,awarded by Ministry of human rights, awarded by Chandan Das ji at Gajrath Mahotsava,awarded by Art of living bangalore.
Divya Choubey is endebted to her parents , gurus and her husband for their unconditional support and guidance. Having come from a family of artists , she thinks it is her duty to encourage young generation to rediscover our ancient dance forms which are ignored otherwise by a society under pressure from western cultural influences in the name of modernisation.
